Arolyn Burns
Arolyn Burns is a licensed therapist who’s been working with anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain since 1997. She spent fifteen years with LA County investigating child abuse, working with crime victims, domestic violence survivors, and veterans struggling with deployment stress. She’s also worked with professional athletes battling performance anxiety and helped Olympic competitors win medals.
In 2012, a workplace injury forced Arolyn to retire and deal with her own chronic pain. That’s when she started combining traditional therapy with alternative treatments like hypnotherapy, sound therapy, essential oils, and energy work. She tested everything on herself before teaching it to clients, building a system that addresses the body, mind, and spirit together.
Arolyn developed her own hypnotherapy technique for specific phobias and anxiety disorders, helping clients overcome fears of flying, driving, test taking, and performance pressure. She’s worked with people preparing for the BAR exam, state licensing tests, and national competitions. Her approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, somatic interventions, and holistic practices that most traditional therapists don’t use.
